Giggs on top of his game

Kevin McCarra thinks United already have their new Ronaldo as Giggs still shines bright at nearly think 36

Whilst Scholes is rolling back the years as well. Fergie, and Scholes himself made the point last season i think, that he never really got his form back after his injury in mid season. Scholes thought it was because he could never get a steady run of games together in the latter part of the season. So lets hope he doesn't get an injury that takes him out of the equation for a couple of months again.

Fergie expects Rooney to join Ronaldo and Messi as one of the best players in the world. Whilst he may never be better than either skill wise, i am pretty sure he can be a more influential player than either of those two.

Vidic thinks it is the small things that matter at the highest level in the champions league

It doesn't look like Dwight Yorke has done Keano any favours, though not as much as he hasn't done himself by the looks of it. Yet another ex red that we would have loved to have succeeded Fergie, that looks well short of the mark unfortunately.

Music
Arctic Monkeys - Humbug: A slow burner of an album, it has grown on me. Though it has some cracking songs on it i still think it doesn't work as well as the first two albums as a whole

Arnaud Rebotini - Music components: I loved this hard hitting electronica album by the Frenchmen

Jill Scott - Beautifully human: A terrific chilled out nu soul album from earlier in the decade

Miles Davis - In a silent way: I am slowly getting through his late 60's early 70's electronic fusion efforts and i haven't listened to one that i haven't loved yet. The musicians are something else.

Q-Tip - The renaissance: Magnificent alternative hip hop? no idea what you would class this as, but it's great.

The Notwist - The devil, you and me: I hadn't heard of this German band before reading a review of this album in mojo. They were described as indie if i remember right but they are a bit more leftfield than that. It starts well with a cracking first track but the rest of the album does take a bit more work. But it's worth it as it really is another grower.
