Andersred's latest financial investigations of the Glazer's US business interests show that they really are using United as their means of funding their " millionaire lifestyle ". It makes you puke to think that our season ticket price increases have been going towards subsidising their existence. Of course we always thought at least part of our money was going towards that aim. But this report and tomorrows Panorama show that it almost toally funds it. Fit and proper owners, my arse.

The report is contained in Andersred's blog. I won't begin to pretend i understand any of tha actual analysis. But the fact the information is in the open and the admittance of £1 billion of debt tends to support it's findings. I suppose the supposed £2 billion of assets include the players, ground and Carrington. That's " incredibly" reassuring isn't it.

I can see that the family itself could be split by this. They seem to be between a rock and a hard place. They don't seem to have any good options, selling United would raise much needed cash, but what then funds their lifestyle. Whilst keeping hold of United as it sinks into more debt must surely devalue it's worth, meaning when they do have to sell, and they will, they won't get what they would have done if they had sold now. My heart bleeds. It definitely exposes the lie that United is worth £1.5 billion as laughable.

United to sell Berbatov? this report made some sense until a transfer fee of £18.5 million was mentioned. We will never get that for him. I think he will stay anyway, the squad will start to really show the effects of the Glazer debt if he were to go and the almost certain non arrival of a replacement.

I read all the talk of Rio staying in South Africa, wondering when United would remind everyone that he is an employee of Manchester United.

The nightly music show wasn't bad sometimes and i liked the emphasis on new music. Some of the sports output was alright as well, the Andy Mitten stuff was pretty good. If it did make a come back maybe they could do a screen version of the BBC radio Manchester fanzine type programme on a Wednseday night.
The bond markets are nervous, writes Stephen Foley as the Eurozone continues to look vulnerable. When are we going to get the politicians to tand up and say that the world can't go on like this.
