The hatred revived

A leeds fan tries to explain it, but can't bring him himself why Revie isn't shown the respect Busby is. Alleged bungs, dirty teams, cynicsm, gifted teams that played football the wrong way, the way Revie left England in the lurch for Saudi riches, it's not just United fans that detest Leeds United. As the damned United suggested, Clough detested Revie and his vision of football.

Fergie thinks Leeds will return to the premier league in the near future, let's hope he is wrong.

Ravel Morrison is down as one of the 5 young players to watch in 2010. I can't see him getting near the first team next season to be honest unless he grows a bit more.

Every time official secrets are released, Thatcher's reputation gets more and more tarnished and confirms liberal opinion that she was little englander bigot. After the revelations that she informed the Soviets that she was quite happy for Germany to stay divided comes this confirmation that she really didn't like foreigners, racist even.

Anthony Seldon tells Britain it must get it's moral compass back. He is completely right about trust and getting rid of ridiculous reliance on meaningless targets.

A liberal comes to terms with the fact the Clintons really are the hucksters on the make Christopher Hitchens accused them of being. He doesn't mention the economic thrid way, free market economics with a human face or the abolition of the steagall act that was an obvious catalyst for the recent credit crunch. I suppose he has the Northern Ireland peace process to his name but how much of the credit he should get for that, i don't know.
