The under 18s came away with a comfortable victory on Saturday. It was nice to see Ravel Morrison start a game for the first time in ages. If he is going to be the player many have touted him as, he needs to start getting some games under his belt. He seems to have grown a bit since the last time i saw him play, which is no bad thing.

I read Orlando Figes history of revolutionary Russia recently and it was a fantastic read, so i was disappointed to read this strange article from the Independent on an argument over Amazon reviews involving Figes and/or his wife.

Steve Richards argues in the Independent that Cameron wanted to run in this elcetion as the candidate of change, but that Clegg has stripped that away from him and left him looking part of the status quo.

Peter Oborne, one of the few tories worth reading reckons that Clegg is as much a part of the establishment as Cameron and Brown. But it may just be that he will seize the moment to utterly transform British politics. Which i'm presuming that Oborne has at least mixed feelings about.

Andrew Stephens discusses Obama's next big decision, over the appointment of a candidate to sit on the supreme court. Reminds me of the episode from the west wing from one of the earlier series.

The Independent reports on a new wave of female comics. I thought Sharon Horgan's Pulling was one of the best comedy series of recent years, brilliant.

Barry Adamson with the cracking Jazz devil and some clips from the Nick Cave scripted, The Proposition, a pretty good film.
