Barca win the el classico 2-0 at the Bernabau with Messi proving for anybody not yet convinced that he is without doubt the best player in the world. Ronaldo looked a very unhappy bunny last night. As we have seen before Real are just a collection of individuals and whereas at United Ronaldo had a team built around him to get the best out of him, at Real it's every man for himself. I'm afraid once he left United i couldn't really give a shit how he goes on and i'm quite happy about it if i'm honest. Let's face it he wanted to go the summer before he eventually got his wish and belittled our club in my opinion. Fair enough he has never made any disparaging remarks about United or English football since he left, but he got his wish and it's turned out, the way a lot of us expected.
I can't wait to see the Barca Inter semi, that would have been the ideal final with two contrasting teams. Inter aren't as good a team as the Catalans but under Mourinho they will be organised to stop Barca playing and have a threat or tow of their own. It probably won't be beautiful to watch but it will be fascinating.

Jonathan Norcroft writes that the elimination of the last English clubs from Europe should be taken as a welcome wake up call for English football as all our top four teams have gone backwards.
