Scholes was missed

According to the mirror Capello feels England sadly missed the ginger prince. Well he got that right, it doesn't really excuse the terrible decisiona and tactics he made in South Africa though.

But not Stuart Pearce hopefully.

United did the business on their first pre season friendly against Celtic. Berbatov was the stand out for me. It was intersting watching Smalling you can see what they saw in him, he looked very comfortable on the ball. We will have to see if can actually defend, because he wasn't really tested much in this game. Apart from giving a soft penaly away, that is. I was hoping for a bit more from Cleverley , not much went right for him. Still he seemed to get better the longer he was on the pitch, and he did get on the scoresheet. Even if it was a lucky deflection, it seems to be a nice habit that he has in finding the net.
