It's not will they sell, it's what price. More brilliant work from Andersred's blog showing that their US business assets are almost certainly struggling, badly.

James Lawton salutes Barcelona, the model of how a football club should be run. It's not perfect, but as far as football ownership goes it's the nearest thing to it. It is what United should aspire to and then hopefully improve on.

From the Outcasts FC, the forerunners of the PFA, to Busby the first modern manager, to a fans owned club United have always been at the radical edge of the sport. Let's hope this will be the next phase and that we take the rest of the English game along with us eventually just like Busby going into Europe.

Rooney could be back for the Milan tie tomorrow, a big bonus if true especially with the weakened midfield that he will have to pick tomorrow.

Ferguson not sure what team AC Milan will put out, but doesn't think Beckham will play.

Brown will be out for 4-6 weeks according to Fergie, he has had some injuries in his career as Fergie said. Still i suppose he was there when Rio and Vidic were out so he's contributed to the season, even if he's not the player he was.

The Times Oliver Kay thinks the premier leagues monopoly of the champions league is coming to an end and bigs up Inter and Real Madrid as the reasons why. Barcelona are still the team to beat for me though it looks like injuries are starting to kill them as they have killed us this season. I am not convinced about Real and wouldn't be that surprised if Lyon do them tonight. As for Inter they seemed a slightly better team than the one we knocked last season but i still remember the really negative performance by them at home to Barca in the group stages. That didn't seem like the performance of a team that thinks it's good enough to take on the very best in Europe to me.

He is probably right in the long term, i'm just not sure that we won't see two or three English teams in the semi finals this season again.

I switched between the two european ties last night after at first meaning to watch Fiorentina take on Bayern. The game was absolutley garbage though until the first goal from the Italians made Bayern have to come outof their defensive mode. Though the quality wasn't great the calibre of goals and the knife edge position of the tie made it a great watch. Funny that Real are supposedly willing to pay so much for Ribbery when it was one of their own ex players Robben who was the outstanding player on the night and in the tie. As for Arsenal i have read Wenger saying this morning that he wouldn't mind playing us or Chelsea. Well if Fergie or Ancelotti were watching last night i'm pretty sure they wouldn't mind Arsenal. Despite the 5-0 scoreline the Arsenal back four and midfield cover were still an accident waiting to happen. For all their easy run in, i still can't see them coming above ourselves and Chelsea.

Of course the real joke is that we as a country can't afford all these US sponsored wars on terrorisim. One day, not too far off i should think, some politician is going to have to spell out that the Empire has gone and we have got to get use to being a lot less important in the world than the tabloids like to pretend we are.

Stephen Glover has a go at the holier than thou Guardian. It would be nice if the Scott trust decided that it was time for a change at the paper after this election. It's still being run by a lot of out of touch Blairites. When they won't touch anything by a proper liberal such as Craig Murray something has gone sadly wrong at that paper.

Add better football governance to better financial regulation and they would be on to a winner.

Martin Wainwright reckons human ingenuity will save the world from global warming. He pretty much puts forward the view that i hold all the way through this article.

A bit of ambient house, techno or whatever you want to call it.
