I can understand where he is coming from, Barca did pass the ball far better in both ties. Bu then again, although possession is a big part of the game, so is what you do with it. And Barca were very poor as far as creating chances goes. For all that United got hammered as far as possession of the football went, and whilst it has to be admitted United's passing was nowhere near the level it should have been, over the two legs United created about the same amount of chances as the Catalan giants. If United had played anywhere near to their true capabilities and Rooney had played in the home leg it wouldn't have been as nail biting last 15 minutes or so, of that i am sure
