Fergie has said that one or two players will be going out in the summer as the time has come to freshen things up. I think we all have our candidates, i suppose for most it will be Berbatov. I couldn't argue with that, i still think he is a good player, but he just hasn't worked for us. That's not to say he will go, as they won't get back what they paid for him, so he may be given one more season.
One player whose days do look numbered are our other signing from Spurs, Michael Carrick. He was a tremendous aquisition and played big part alongside Paul Scholes in bringing the glory days after the bleak mid part of the last decade. But i presume that Fergie saw him as the long term replacement for the ginger prince. The fact that the 35 year old Scholes has been our best player over the last month whereas at first Carrick was one of our worst with terrible performances against Bayern and Chelsea, and now has been permanently relegated to the bench tells it's own story. His first two seasons at United were excellent, but he has become increasingly inconsistent to the point where Fergie, and me sadly, seems to have lost all trust in him.
My other candidates would be Anderson, but the knee injury may save him and he may be given one more chance. I'm not a big Park fan, but i suppose he is a decent squad player and he is too important commercially to the Glazers to be let go. I suppose the last question is will Hargreaves finally call it a day, my feeling is he will.
I'm hoping Vidic doesn't go because that will be a serious blow, he is the most important member of the defence now Rio is plagued by his back injury. If we lost him without replacing him with a proven top centre half, i would find it hard to see us recapturing the title next season.

Of the players coming in Hernandez looks interesting and could well be an exciting buy. The jury is out on Smalling who hasn't exactly set the world alight for Fulham since we signed him. We can only hope Hodgson was right when he joked that he is getting his mistakes out of his system before he comes next season.
As to who comes in, who knows with the lack of funds at our disposable, but of the names we have been linked with i would settle for Rodwell. If he is going to be as good as the rumours suggest, and we can get him now for £20 million and he goes on to prove the rumours right, then that would be good business.
One player signed up to our long term future is Jonny Evans who has finally signed his new contract. I'm hoping for a big improvement next season as he had an inconsistent second season. Admittedly he can't have been helped by all the chopping and changing and injuries during that middle part of the season. Still it's hard to get that nightmare performance at the san siro out of my head.

Scholes had to be persuaded to sign on for another year as Fergie admits our midfield maestro had doubts over his form. Now he is one player that we really can't do without. Replacing him and Giggs is going to be very very hard. There are no replacements currently plying their trade in the premiership, that's for sure. I suppose the hope within the club is that Ravel Morrison will fulfill the potential he has shown to take over his mantle. But that is surely three or four years away, if he does.

Mancini tells top players they will be missing out on the chance to make history if the reject the chance to sign for a massive club in the summer. Apparently the Times thinks he means Gerrard and Torres.

Unloved in Madrid, Kaka changes his tune and starts to make eyes at Arab money.

Spurs player in non badge kissing shocker as he admits to playing for the money and not love of the club. It's honesty i suppose, though with his talent, he's not very good in my eyes, you try and get away with what you can and for as long as you can. At least he's not being a hypocrite.

Phillipa Stroud, potential Tory candidate shows the tories are still the same old tories. I mean where do you start in lampooning that. She should lose the gay vote, the secular vote and the female vote. That's like one of those wacky mid western evengelical looneytunes churches.

Ashcroft is still piling the coffers into the tory election campaign as party funding comes under scrutiny in the Indie.

Matthew Norman on the tortured colossus that is Gordon Brown. I'm not an admirer, but i can't argue with the assertion that he has been a politician of substance. Only Ken Clarke on the Tory side comes anywhere near. Unfortunately for a man with labour in his blood he will be remembered as yet another former radical labour politician seduced by the city and the interests of the conservative establishment. Not as bad as Snowden, but not up there with the real radicals of British history. And what on earth possessed him to think that he entertained the qualities to lead a political party because that leaves me totally bamboozled.

Anatole Kaletsky thinks we need a Tory-Lib dem coalition, and goes all around the houses about how we can arrive at that. I don't think anyone can predict what is going to happen, but the one outcome i am certain won't come to pass is a Tory-Lib dem coalition. The best case scenario for the tories if they fail to get an overall majority is a minority administration with an understanding with Lib dems over an economic policy. And i think the chances of that are slim to non existant.

A blast from the 90's 60 ft dolls
I loved their debut album, a pity that it didn't work out for them.
